This statement ring tells the universal story of human longing. The serpent is a spiritual creature which has been represented across all cultures for millennia, symbolizing both guardian and temptress. This ring was designed to harness the energy of the serpent.

The Serpent’s Garnet consists of a labyrinth of chain spilling over an anticlastic form designed to contour around the finger. The chains were linked and manipulated to render the illusion of movement, as if the serpent is protecting and entranced by its object of desire, the glowing Garnet at its center. The stone was chosen for its fiery red, representing passion, intensity and lust.

The front face of the ring measures 1.25x0.8 inches. The band tapers from 15 mm wide to 5 mm at the back and is extremely comfortable. The piece has been oxidized for richness and depth and the band has a smooth, brushed finish. Stamped inside with my makers’s mark. A piece of wearable art that will never be replicated.
